About Me:

I have been a well-known and respected certified Postpartum Doula since October of 2002. I am certified through Birth Works and DONA (Doulas of North America). I am also a Lamaze Breastfeeding Support Specialist since May of 2006. I began my vision and journey a few years prior to certifying knowing that there was a great need. Moms and Dads need to be supported during the birth process and early weeks of having a new born child. With many families living so far apart and many couples deciding to have children later in life the need has increased in the past decade for bringing in outside help. I have been studying women’s issues along with family dynamics since the early 90’s. I have worked in the field of substance abuse in women’s halfway houses, running support groups and teaching infant care. My passion has always been to support the bonding process.

My goal as a postpartum doula is to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment for families to share their hearts and souls. Allowing Moms and Dads to reconnect to the ancient wisdom that is already within them,it has just been forgotten……

Gently being at their side to support and encourage them while they bond with their newborn .It is an honor and a privilege to be a witness during this intimate time in their lives.
